Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte undergoes ’successful‘ knee surgery
Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has experienced knee operation that was successful after being stretchered off in their 4-0 win over Brighton on Saturday.

A team statement released by City says:“Aymeric Laporte has undergone surgery on his knee after damaging his own ribs and lateral meniscus.
„The operation, carried out by physician Ramon Cugat in Barcelona, was successful and a more thorough prognosis is going to be offered in due course.“
John Stones has missed the last two games with a thigh injury, leaving Nicolas Otamendi because their only fully-fit centre-back Following Vincent Kompany abandoned in the summer.
